Question asalamalykum My question is abt the day of NOROZ which is only celebrated by shia all over the world not by ahlusunnat.i wish to know 1.is there any link it with islamic shariat?If yes pls explain with some hadiths. 2.noroz day is celebrated in iran with great respect.Can you tell us it history does it link with lunar or solar calendar. 3.lastly i wish to know what kind of calendar used in iran. wasallam MAY GOD PROTECTED OUR GRAND MARAJAHS  
Answer W.Salam,we are extremely sorry for late reply because of some functional problems in our web site.We will reply u soon next time Insh-Allah 1) No reliable text (hadeeth) has been specifically transmitted about the day of Nowrooz as being an Islamic religious festival or one of the blessed days in Islamic law, however, there is no problem in celebrating it and visiting each other. 2) It is the first day of the solar year. 3) Officially, the Islamic solar calendar - which starts from the migration of the Holy Prophet of Islam (s.) from Mecca to Medina - is used.
