if any person gives khums each year but not on a fixed date & also not as much as is due on him. Now we heard from a moulana that if anyone never give khums in his life then he has to make a list of all over things that he has , whether used or unused & after that he will have to give khums on the present cost of all those things. Is it true? if yes then how isit possible to count all the used /unused things because nowadays a family person have a lots of things that are used /unused. please tell me a simple & easy way. . Answer	ji haan, is ki maujooda qimat ka khums daina zaroori hai. REF: www.sistani.org, khums, Q 45. agar kisi ko yaqeen ho ke us par khums wajib tha lekin shak ho ke us ne khums ada kar diya hai ya nahi, to zaroori hai ke khums ki adaigi karay. REF: mujtahid se poochay gae sawalat, hisa 1, ques no. 87. aur agar yeh maloom na ho ke us ne saal ke dauraan walay munafay se cheezain khareedi hain aur ussi saal me unhain istimaal bhi kardiya hai ya nahi, to ehtiyat-e-wajib ki bina par zaroori hai ke hakim-e-shara ya un ke wakeel se ehtimaali nisbat par mufahamat kar lay. REF: A.Sistani, Tauzeeh ul masail, masla no: 1767. lehaza agar aap kay liyay hisab-o-kitab karna mushkil ho raha ho to is ka aasaan hal yeh hai ke apnay mujtahid ya sher (city) mein maujood unkay wakeel se raabta kar ke is masla ko hal kijiyay.
