Assalam o alaikum wa rehmat ullah wa barakatahoo. I am staying in Saudi arabia and often pray in mosque with Ahle sunnat. Can I pray on the carpet without using Turbah, and weather my prayers are valid? Afriend of mine has to pray due to his office politics, but he says that he only do acting and prays again after reaching his home. What is fiqahai position in this matter. Answer	Sijdah sirif turbah hi per wajib nahi balkeh or bhi bohat see chezain hain jin per sijdah jaaiz hay.sijdah zameen per kerna sahi hay or her os cheez per kerna sahi hay jo zameen say ugti hon,laikin insaan nah tu osko khaatay hon ,nah pehentay hon or naahi wo maadniyaat(minerals) main say ho.maslan mitti(sand),lekri(wood),darkht k pattay (leaf),sang e marmar(marble),patthar(stones),aqeeq(stone for finger ring), ghaas (grass),cement floor,kaagaz(paper) etc. Agar aap taqayyah mehsoos karain or incheezon main say kisi cheez per bhi sijdah kena mumkin hi nah ho, tu aap carpet per sijdah kerlain hain.
